City of Nampa Doing All It Can to Provide Irrigation Water Until October 1, 2007

The City of Nampa will do everything possible to keep irrigation water flowing until October 1, 2007. We need help from the residents of Nampa to make this possible.

Two of our main sources of irrigation water will be gone by mid-September. The Nampa-Meridian Irrigation will shut off water to its canals September first, and Pioneer Irrigation will shut down their canals a couple of weeks later. The City of Nampa recently tested our irrigation system using our limited irrigation well supplies and we believe we can keep a minimal irrigation supply for our customers.

Please take the time to open and look at the following information below: an informational letter from Public Works Director Michael Fuss, an information sheet from the U of I Ag Extension Office, a map of pressurized irrigation levels for the City of Nampa, and a news release further explaining the situation.
