Qualification of Electors

Every male of female citizen of the United States, eighteen (18) years old, who has resided in this state and in the county for thirty (30) days where he or she offers to vote prior to the day of election, if registered within the time period provided by law, is a qualified voter. LAST DAY TO REGISTER TO VOTE: OCTOBER 9, 2009

Election Day Registration

An individual who is eligible to vote may register on election day by appearing in person at the polling place for the precinct in which the individual maintains residence, by competing a registration card, making an oath in the form prescribed by the secretary of state and providing proof of residence. An individual may prove residence for purposes of registering by:

(1) Showing a driver’s license or Idaho identification card issued through the department of transportation; or
(2) Showing any document which contains a valid address in the precinct together with a picture identification card; or
(3) Showing a current valid student identification card from a post-secondary educational institution in Idaho accompanied with a current student fee statement that contains the student’s valid address in the precinct together with a picture identification card.

Election day registration shall apply to all elections conducted under title 34, Idaho Code, and to school district and municipal elections.

An individual who is eligible to vote may also register, upon providing prove of residence, at the absent electors polling place provided in section 34-1006.

How to use the Nampa Voting Precinct Web Map

  1. Click the “Search by Address” button near the top left corner. Enter your home address, i.e. 411 3rd St S, and Click “Find”.
  2. Hover the mouse over the address that matches your home address. Right-Click on the selected address and click “Zoom to”. This will zoom the map in closer to your home address, which should be signified by a push pin.
  3. Select the “Map Identify” button near the top right corner. Click the map within the Precinct, colored area, that your selected home address falls within. A dialogue box will open that contains both the name and address of the voting location.

How to search by precinct:



As an alternative method, you can search by precinct via the web map as well:
  1. Click the “Find Precinct” button near the top left corner. Enter your voting precinct and Click “Find”.
  2. Hover the mouse over your precinct. Right-Click on the selected precinct and click “Zoom to”. This will zoom the map in closer to your voting precinct, which will be highlighted.
  3. Hover your mouse over the highlighted precinct in the map display. A dialogue box will open that contains both the name and address of the voting location.
